Who we are

This website and the project are operated by KBI Invest & Management AG. This is the company you contract with when you buy a square.

1. What you are buying

When you buy a square, you buy the right to have one or more selected square positions represented in the project artwork and hand-painted in one approved colour per square, subject to these terms. The price is per square. You buy positions first and choose colours afterwards, from 18 approved colours.

2. Nothing is shipped to you

This is important, so we will say it plainly: you do not receive any physical item. There is no delivery, no parcel, no certificate, no shipping cost, no customs procedure and no import duty. What you get is your square painted on the car, shown in the online preview, and visible in the photos and videos we publish. This is the same wherever in the world you are.

3. No ownership

Buying a square does not transfer any ownership interest of any kind in: the vehicle; the physical car; the artwork as a whole; the paint or materials; project branding; photos, videos or other content; or any intellectual property rights. You cannot claim title, lien, share, security interest, revenue share, control, or any decision rights over the car or the artwork. You are taking part in a temporary art project.

4. Not an investment

Your purchase is not an investment, financial product, security, lottery ticket, raffle entry, donation or charitable contribution. There is no expectation of profit, prize, resale value or any financial return. Do not buy a square expecting it to be worth anything later.

5. The paint is temporary

Painted squares are not permanent. Paint may fade, lighten, wash off, chip, smudge, be cleaned off, be damaged, be covered, or be removed entirely — at any time, with or without notice. Weather, washing, touching, filming, repairs, paint protection film, cleaning products, road use and general handling all affect it. We do not guarantee that a painted square stays visible for any period of time. Impermanence is part of the project, not a defect.

6. Square size

Squares sit on a 1 cm grid. Because the grid's printed border lines take up space, the actual painted area inside each square is smaller than 1 cm × 1 cm — approximately 8 × 8 mm. The exact painted area varies slightly by hand and by panel.

7. Colours are approximate

The colours shown on the website are approximations. The painted result may differ because of how your screen renders colour, the lighting the car is seen or filmed in, the ink itself, and the colour and finish of the car's surface underneath. Marker availability may also require us to use the nearest available approved colour.

8. Position is approximate

The position shown on the website is a digital approximation and may not correspond exactly to the physical location on the car. Curved panels, UV mapping, the physical grid installation and hand-painting all cause variation in position, scale, angle, alignment and panel boundaries.

9. If you do not choose a colour

You choose your colours after checkout, from your account. We will remind you if you have squares without a colour. If you have not chosen a colour within 90 days of your purchase, your square may simply be left unpainted, and we may paint it in a default colour of our choosing or reclaim the position and offer it to someone else, at our discretion. This does not entitle you to a refund — you bought the position, and it was held for you.

10. Timing

There is no guaranteed painting date. Painting happens in batches, by hand, and may be delayed for weather, access to the car, travel, filming, illness or any other practical reason. The website preview may update before or after the physical painting happens.

11. Moderation

We may refuse, alter, move, cover or remove any colour or placement at our discretion. In particular, you must not use squares to build designs, patterns, words or images that are offensive, hateful, abusive, sexually explicit, violent, illegal, defamatory, extremist, discriminatory, harassing, or infringing someone else's copyright or trademark. If we reject squares before painting, we refund them. If a prohibited design is discovered after painting, we may remove or cover it and will decide any refund fairly on the facts.

12. The car and the process are filmed

The car, the grid, the painting process and the finished artwork are photographed, filmed and published — including on social media, in videos, livestreams, on this website and in press coverage. Your squares and their colours are part of that and may appear publicly. There is no opt-out from the car being filmed.

Your personal identity is separate and stays in your control. Your name and email address are never shown publicly. Appearing on the public leaderboard is optional and off unless you turn it on, and only the display name or handle you choose is shown there. You can change or withdraw that at any time by contacting us.

13. If the project ends

The car may be sold, damaged, written off, stolen, or become unavailable, and the project may end for any reason. If that happens before your square has been painted or represented, we will refund the squares you have paid for that were never painted or represented — see the Refund Policy. Squares that have already been painted or represented are not refunded, because the thing you bought already happened. We are not obliged to keep the car, maintain the paint, or continue the project.

14. No guarantee of future panels

Only some panels of the car are released for sale at any time. Whether we release further panels, when, at what price, and in what order is entirely at our discretion. Buying a square now gives you no claim, priority or option over any future panel.

15. You must be 18

You must be at least 18 years old to buy a square, or have permission from a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf. If we learn that a purchase was made by someone under 18 without that permission, we may cancel and refund it.

16. Not affiliated with Lamborghini

This is an independent art project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. or any of its group companies. Lamborghini and Huracán are trademarks of their respective owner, used here only to describe the vehicle the artwork is painted on.

17. Refunds

See the Refund Policy. In short: we refund squares we reject before painting; we refund or replace squares accidentally sold twice; and we refund squares if the project ends before your square is painted or represented. Once a square has been accepted and painted or represented, refunds are generally not available.

18. Liability

We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or our negligence, up to the amount you paid us. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited where you live.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the version you accepted at checkout — we record it with your order. Changes are not applied retrospectively to squares you have already bought.
